Need a little help making a decision? The M tariff offers solid basic coverage for health, liability, accident, and repatriation insurance. The L tariff offers excellent value for money, as it covers the risk of lost keys and provides higher coverage limits for liability and accident insurance in addition to the basic coverage of the M tariff. That’s why the L tariffis our recommendation for you!
If you would like premium coverage for your family and your au pair, we recommend the XL tariff. Your au pair can take advantage of a comprehensive preventive care package. Vaccinations according to STIKO recommendations and preventive medical checkups are reimbursable up to €500 per insurance year. This way, both you as a host family and your au pair are on the safe side.
The Z tariff with liability, accident, and deportation cost coverage makes sense if the au pair already has health insurance .
Here you will find further information on insurance duration and the requirements for taking out the insurance.
How can the premium be paid?
If you pay by SEPA direct debit, we offer you the option of paying the premium monthly (for countries in the Eurozone). Alternatively, you can make a one-time payment covering the entire insurance period.
All other payment methods are intended exclusively for a one-time payment of the premium covering the entire insurance period.
You can choose from the following payment options:
- Credit card:
MasterCard, VISA, JCB, Bancontact, Diners Club, DISCOVER, Maestro
- Online banking:
eps, iDEAL | Wero
- Online payment system:
PayPal, Apple Pay
- SEPA Direct Debit
For countries in the eurozone:
If your coverage period exceeds one month, you can also pay the premium monthly via SEPA direct debit. The first premium installment is due at the start of the coverage period, and subsequent installments are due at the beginning of each following month.
The monthly premium consists of € 38 (M+L), or € 68 (XL) for health insurance and € 6 (M) or € 11 (L,XL+ Z) for accident and liability insurance (including insurance tax). The Z plan does not include health insurance.
The premium is based on the duration of the trip. If the au pair leaves your family earlier than expected, we will calculate the premium on a daily basis from the date of receipt of the notice of termination. No administrative fees apply for refunds.
